The Christmas month is one of the most joyful and magical times of the year. This is when the general population is the most generous and the happiest. Don't take my word for it, the CDC has reported that suicide rates are the lowest during the month of December. With that being said, for adults, especially those with children, the holidays can be stressful. Between buying gifts for everyone, wrapping them, moving the Elf on the Shelf each month, and planning the Christmas meal for everyone to eat, the last two weeks before the holidays can cause some to become overwhelmed. Part of the reason why Holy Shrimp was started was because our delicious seafood boil with our unique Holy Sauce seasoning was our go to meal for birthday parties, cookouts, and holiday meals. The reason for this is the ease of cooking seafood and the easy cleanup after we eat the food. Seafood boil meals are a family style meal. It just doesn't feel right to eat it by yourself. Christmas is the holiday that brings people together in volumes. People travel far and wide to meet up with their loved ones and create memories. We invite you to start a new meal tradition that will allow you to have more free time on your hands and enjoy the special people in your life. Our Seafood Party Kit is perfect for 8 to 12 people and comes with everything you need to cook this meal. All you need is a large enough pot to cook everything in. (One with a steamer basket is even better.) If you do decide to start a Christmas tradition with us, don't forget to tag us on our social media accounts and spread the love. Why? Because #shrimphappens

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, many families around the US are starting to plan for the holiday by creating grocery lists, guest lists, and decorating their home with the fall colors or even Christmas decorations. But for as much joy as the holidays bring, it is also accompanied by stress. We have a heard stories of Thanksgiving meals gone wrong because we forgot to unthaw the turkey or we forgot to include Uncle Dave's favorite side dish. Then there are those who are overprepared and mange to pull off the best meal the family has ever had but the cost was a long day of hard work in the kitchen. Throughout the years, more and more families are skipping out on this holiday meal and join the Black Friday sales or order takeout to watch the Football game. What if I told you that you could enjoy Thanksgiving hassle-free with a delicious family style meal that can be finished in time to enjoy the football game and your family AND still have time for Black Friday shopping? Let us invite you to try our Seafood Party Kit! This kit will arrive a few days prior to the holiday and can be cooked in less than an hour. With a large enough pot, you can feed over 20 people in one go! This will open up your morning to spend with your family however you like. The best part is there are very little kitchen equipment to wash and the cleanup is very easy. Simply cook in your pot, dump on your plastic table cover (included with your order), eat family style and once you are done, pick up plastic tale cover with all the scraps and trash from your meal and throw away. Now you have all the time to create memories with your loved ones. Accompany Holy Shrimp! in creating a unique holiday tradition, whether it is Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's or even your birthday. We would love for you to share your experience with us. The origin of Mardi Gras dates back to the European Medieval times in France but it was officially celebrated in America in 1703 and the rest is history. The popularity of the event has expanded to the rest of the United States with many Americans taking a trip to celebrate in Louisiana. This year Mardi Gras will be celebrated on March 1, 2022. However, if you are unable to travel for any reason, we have created a list of how to join in the celebrations from anywhere! Get your Cajun meal covered. Seafood is a big part of Cajun cuisine and the Mardi Gras celebration. However, during this day, restaurants get overwhelmingly busy and seafood markets run low on seafood supplies. We recommend ordering or seafood boil to ensure you have a traditional Cajun style meal. We guarantee fresh, premium ingredients and we are always fully stocked! Get your King's Cake! This cake is a tradition in New Orleans. The pastry has a baby and, whoever gets the slice with the plastic baby inside, must host the next party! If you get the baby in your cake slice, share it here and we will email you a promo code to receive 25% off for any seafood kit of your choice! Get your beads! Make it a party by wearing beads in the traditional colors of Mardi Gras. Purple which stands for Justice. Green which stands for Faith. Yellow which stands for Power. Lucky for you! If you order any of our kits the weekend prior to Mardi Gras, we will throw in some free beads! Get your drinks! Some popular Mardi Gras drinks are the Hurricane cocktail and a Cajun Bloody Mary. Try our Michelada Mix which is essentially a Bloody Mary Mix. You can add your favorite spirit to make it a Bloody Mary or add your favorite beer to make it a Michelada, the choice is yours! Well there you have it! Now you have all you need to celebrate Fat Tuesday! Post your experience and any additional tips here to hep others join the celebration!
